Request for Proposals for the Newfoundland and Labrador Settlement and Integration Program

The Department of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour (AESL), Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) is calling for proposals aimed at increasing and enhancing settlement and integration services in all regions of Newfoundland and Labrador. Recognizing the important role service providers play in supporting the settlement and integration of newcomers, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is focused on supporting innovative approaches to increasing capacity and enhancing services for newcomers to the province.


Call for Expressions of Interest for Foreign Qualification Recognition

The Department of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour is seeking expressions of interest for the development of initiatives under the project, Foreign Qualification in Newfoundland and Labrador: Developing Provincial Capacity, to enhance foreign qualification recognition capacity in the province. It supports the implementation of the Pan-Canadian Framework for the Assessment and Recognition of Foreign Qualification with respect to regulated occupations and trades and is funded by the Government of Canada’s Foreign Credential Recognition Program. Expressions of interest are being sought for projects that facilitate the assessment and recognition of foreign qualifications to ensure that internationally trained workers are able to integrate into the provincial labour market and contribute to growing the economic, social and cultural fabric of Newfoundland and Labrador.
